Gap Filling in Dentistry

Mrs. ZubaidahZabih, 48 years old, female from Afghanistan was in distress due to her dental issues. She had generalized gaps present between her upper teeth. Often, foodwouldget stuck between her posterior teeth due to improper contact between them which resulted in bad breath. Also, her teeth had undergone extreme wear and had become flattened causing sensitivity in upper teeth. She visited many dentists in her country but they only advised her to use desensitizing toothpastes and didn't provide her with anypermanent solution. When her sister came to know about her problems, she suggested her to visit Cosmodent India at Dental Clinic Delhi for treatment. She came to us with the complaint of spacing, sensitivity and bad breath.

Before Treatment

She was concerned about the cost of treatment but was astonished when she came to know how affordable our treatment procedures were. Following complete examination and detailed assessment, we concluded that she required complete oral prophylaxis (cleaning) and ceramic crowns which would serve a dual purpose, resolving the problem of her sensitivity and rectify her smile by eliminating the issue of spacing in her teeth. For receiving ceramic crowns, firstly tooth cutting was done on her upper teeth.

 

During Treatment

Thereafter, impressions of upper and lower teeth were made for fabrication of ceramic crowns. The crowns were then cemented onto the teeth firmly and adjusted accordingly to the comfort of the patient.

 

After Treatment

In merely 4 days she had new shining ceramic crowns which had significantly improved her smile, alongwith relieving her problem of sensitivity. She expressed her gratitude and returned home pleased and satisfied with the treatment
