PERMANENT SOLUTION IN 3 DAYS.
DAY 1: On the first visit, the implant team clinically examines the patient, followed by the necessary OPG taken for preliminary assessment. If required, a 3D CBCT Scan (COSMODENT has an in-house OPG facility) will be performed for precision planning. A virtual placement of implants will be demonstrated to the patient on the 3D CBCT SCAN, before finalizing the treatment plan. As a part of the treatment planning, the technique, cost factor and different fixed teeth options will be explained to the patient.
DAY 2: The teeth are extracted and the basal implants are also placed during the same surgical visit. Impressions are taken for permanent ceramic teeth.
DAY 3 : The permanent ceramic teeth are custom prepared and fixed within 5 days. Thus the timeline for Permanent-fixed teeth in 5 days is completed within one trip. At Cosmodent, we place 8 to 10 implants to restore the upper jaw and 6 to 8 implants for the lower jaw. The technique includes a combination of compression implants, basal implants, and pterygoid implants. With this combination, every patient receives a full set of fixed teeth, without any bone graft procedure, sinus lift, or nerve repositioning, that too with a lifetime warranty
Why this is better than a conventional implant?

What is the difference between normal dental implants and basal implants?

- Missing or damaged Anterior teeth.
- Missing or damaged Posterior grinding teeth.
- Mobile teeth because of bone loss.
- Severely decayed or damaged teeth that cannot be saved by root canal treatment.

Will general anaesthesia be administered to me during the procedure?
While it is not necessary, it completely depends on your preference and the doctor’s recommendation. Usually, the procedure is carried out under Local Anaesthesia only. For patients who are fearful and anxious, we have an option for “Sleep Dentistry” also known as “laughing gas sedation”. Our sedation expert will administer nitrous oxide with oxygen to make sure your experience is nothing but pleasant.
How painful is the procedure?
In comparison to the conventional dental implant operation, the immediate implant procedure is less invasive because they are Flap implants and require no sutures, No sinus lift, and No bone graft. Hence, its way less painful and causes only minor discomfort. Most patients report that discomfort is very little and their experience was much more comfortable than they anticipated. After the dental implant surgery, medicine are prescribed to combat any pain.
How long will the procedure take for a whole jaw replacement?
The surgery for one jaw typically lasts up to 45 minutes to an hour wherein implants are placed in one jaw followed by other. After this comes, prosthetic phase where permanent teeth are fixed. The entire course takes about three days to be accomplished, and hence given the title, “teeth in 3 days”. Chances of delay are almost nil especially if the patient has no existing teeth in his/her mouth.
What is the failure rate of immediate dental implants?
The process has gained international approval and the effectiveness chart has yielded almost 98%. Dental implants generally have a high success rate, but some patients (2%-5%) experience dental implant failure. Failure occurs either shortly after a procedure or years later. Hence, choose your operating Implant surgeon wisely.
Is basal implant treatment more expensive than normal dental implants?
This is one of the main reasons patients choose basal implants over conventional methods. About 35% of the cost is reduced along with 98% of the total time duration.
How long do Basal implants last?
Typically, a lifetime provided the patient maintains them perfectly and has routine check-ups with the dentist.
What are the immediate instructions after the implant procedure?
Healing is usually fast and chances of infections are less. But it is best to follow these instructions in the early post-operative phase:
- Swallow your saliva don’t spit that day.
- Cold diet is preferred above hot.
- After half or one hour take water, ice-cream and milk shake.
- About two hours later take dinner or lunch but semi solid and cold Next day you can start your routine life but don’t forget to take medicine regularly.
How do I care for my new set of permanent teeth ?
Once the healing is complete, your permanent teeth require thorough and regular care just like your natural teeth. Many people are surprised to learn that, just as natural teeth can suffer gum disease, dental implants can also succumb to gum disease that attacks the attachment between the implant and your jaw bone.
To avoid this keep them clean with brushing and flossing religiously. Yearly dental check-ups are beneficial. We always insist our patients to take water flosser that helps to maintain health of implants and new teeth. Ask us for yours!
